Introduction
There are many cities to visit in North America, but these five stand out above the rest.
New York City
New York City is one of the most famous cities in the world and it’s no surprise that it made this list. With so much to offer, New York City has something for everyone to enjoy. It has a lot of attractions including museums, parks and restaurants which make it perfect for families with children or couples looking to go on vacation together. If you’re visiting alone then there are still plenty of things you can do here as well like going shopping at some of America’s best stores like Bloomingdale’s or Macy’s!
If you’ve never been before then I would definitely recommend checking out Times Square where there’s always something happening whether it be live music performances or just people walking around having fun together while they wait their turn at one of New York City’s many attractions nearby (like Madame Tussauds Wax Museum). Another great place worth checking out would be Central Park since there isn’t another park quite like this one anywhere else in North America–or even around world really!
Chicago
Chicago is a great city to visit, and we recommend it for travelers who want to see as many attractions as possible. The city can be visited year-round, but certain times of year are better than others. For example:
- In the summer, Chicago has festivals and concerts almost every weekend. If you want to enjoy the summer weather and have some fun at night, this is definitely a good time for your trip!
- In wintertime (December through February), temperatures drop below freezing most days on average–but it’s still possible to go outside if you bundle up properly with warm clothes and boots!
- Springtime (March through May) brings flowers blooming everywhere in town; they’re especially beautiful during peak bloom season (April). However if you’re more interested in seeing autumn foliage instead then wait until October when trees start changing color before heading out west again
Seattle
Seattle is the capital of Washington State, and it’s also the largest city in the Pacific Northwest. The city has been known for its coffee culture, music scene and food since before it was cool to be hipster about these things.
If you’re looking for someplace different than New York City or San Francisco (which are both great cities), you should consider visiting Seattle!
Los Angeles
Los Angeles is a city in California and the second-largest city in the United States. It’s home to Hollywood, international business, entertainment and more.
In 2019 Los Angeles had a population of over 4 million people.
Toronto
Toronto is the largest city in Canada and one of the most popular tourist destinations in North America. It’s home to some of the country’s best restaurants, museums, galleries and theaters.
It can be visited year-round thanks to its temperate climate; however, if you want to avoid crowds and get an affordable flight from Europe or Asia (where many people travel from), plan your trip between June and September when temperatures are milder than during other seasons.
In winter months December through February there are fewer tourists so everything costs less than at other times of year–and there’s still plenty going on: ice skating rinks open up across town; skating contests take place at Nathan Phillips Square; Caribana festival takes over Exhibition Place with Caribbean food vendors selling jerk chicken wings alongside Canadian favourites like poutine (French fries covered in gravy).
San Francisco
San Francisco is a city in California known for its steep hills, cable cars, and Golden Gate Bridge. The city has many museums and galleries including the Asian Art Museum and Contemporary Jewish Museum. It’s also known for its nightlife and food scene: San Francisco has more than 1,000 restaurants serving everything from dim sum to pizza to Michelin star dining–and plenty of both locals and tourists flock here to enjoy them all!
The Golden Gate Bridge connects San Francisco with Marin County on its north side; Alcatraz Island sits just off shore from there as well but isn’t part of San Francisco proper (it belongs entirely within federal jurisdiction).
